Job Title: Asset Protection Specialist
Reports to: Asset Protection Manager
General Scope: Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment for associates and customers. Promote the company core values of customer focus, integrity, teamwork and accountability. Seek best practices and continuous improvement in all aspects of loss prevention and safety. Focus on proactive and preventive activities that will enhance profitability.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Support store operations in all aspects of the loss prevention and safety program.
· Develop effective partnerships with division and store associates to help reduce loss, including accidents.
· Engage in proactive activities such as training and raising loss prevention and safety awareness.
· Work with CCTV, alarms, electronic article surveillance, armored carriers, safes and locks/access control, burglary/robbery response, guard and plainclothes security officers, etc.
· Conduct investigations and interviews.
· Perform loss prevention and safety audits to identify areas of opportunity and facilitate corrective action.
· Investigate and prevent both customer and employee accidents. Determine accident causation and develop appropriate preventative measures for stores and districts.
Requirements:
· Associate degree or equivalentis preferred.
· A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail loss prevention and safety, with at least two years of multi unit responsibility
· Basic knowledge of front end and/or bookkeeping function.
· Basic computer literacy.
· Good organizational, time management, communication, and people skills.
· Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment and to prioritize goals.
· Regular travel required throughout the division, and to periodic meetings and events outside the division.
